Tubod, Lanao del NorteFestival Date: October 17, 2023 Sagingan Festival is held in Tubod, where 52 varieties of bananas grow, making the fruit a significant part of the community’s history and locals’ lives. The festival not only showcases ‘saging,’ or bananas, but also pays tribute to the hard work of Tubod locals during harvest time. Sagingan Festival is a colorful and lively spectacle of street dancing wherein the Tubod folktale about the giant ‘puso ng saging,’ or banana blooms, owned by a sultan, is interpreted.
