Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS)

A quick go-to destination for looking for beach time. Dubbed the crown jewel of Davao del Norte, this azure paradise boasts 7 islets and pristine shorelines stretching over 100 kilometers. It boasts of numerous beach and inland resorts, getaway favorites of both locals and tourists.

Panabo Mangrove Forest Park 

Recognized as a home to most of the country’s endemic mangrove species, the Mangrove Forest Park in Panabo City is a sanctuary for 17 mangrove species, accounting for almost half of the country’s mangrove population. This forest park is a 94.13-hectare stretch of land, the second-largest forest reserve in the Davao Region. 

Agriya Naturetainment 

Agriya Naturetainment in Panabo City is a world-class agritourism destination that blends agriculture with leisure. The farm resort features farm models and farming techniques, educational tours, and recreational activities. 

City of Tagum Cultural Center

The City of Tagum Cultural Center celebrates the city’s rich cultural heritage and history, showcasing the traditions of various ethnic groups, including indigenous peoples and Muslim communities, and making a mark as a key landmark of the city.

Musikahan Festival

The Musikahan Festival is Tagum City’s banner cultural celebration, held every February, and is a vibrant showcase of the city’s identity as the “Music Capital of the Philippines.”

The weeklong festival features a wide range of musical performances and competitions, highlighting the talent, creativity, and artistry of Tagumeños across different genres and age groups. It transforms the city into a lively stage of sound and celebration, making it one of the most anticipated cultural events in the Davao Region and a must-experience highlight for visitors to Tagum. 

Diving (Scuba and Freediving) 

Samal Island is one of the premier diving destinations in the Davao Region and in Mindanao, offering more than 20 dive sites with depths ranging from 30 to 120 feet. Its varied underwater environments make it ideal for both beginners and experienced divers, whether for recreational scuba diving or freediving.

Several accredited dive shops and operators on the island and in the nearby Davao City offer fun dives, introductory experiences, and certification courses, making Samal an accessible and rewarding destination for underwater adventures.
