The festival honors local patron Saint Hyacinth, with citizens upholding the value of ‘pav-vurulun,’ an Ibanag word meaning ‘a gathering’ or ‘a sense of belonging.’ Join the locals in coming together for a traditional Mass and a procession.
The festival’s spirit is inspired by ‘afi,’ or fire, which drives people to labor for a plentiful crop and symbolizes the city’s fiery determination to accomplish individual and joint aspirations.
