Balayan, Batangas is home to one of the most revered festivals of the Philippines — “Parada ng Lechon”. It is a yearly parade of hundreds of mouth-watering roast pigs, replete with costumes amongst other effects, are paraded around the municipality – originated in the old thanksgiving custom of the working class in honor of Saint John the Baptist
