Get DirectionsThe National Museum of the Philippines opened its 16th component museum in Cebu City on July 28, 2023. The museum is located in the heart of the city’s shipping district and features five galleries that showcase the history, culture, and natural wonders of Cebu.
The building that houses the museum was originally a customs house, designed by American architect William Edward Parsons. It was built in 1910 and stood for 94 years, even surviving the bombings of World War II. In 2004, the building was converted into the Malacañang sa Sugbo, the official residence of the Philippine president in Cebu.

If coming from the south by car, take the Cebu North Coastal Road and exit at the Plaza Independencia.
