Lake Balinsasayao

Located more than 900 meters above sea level, Lake Balinsasayao offers a tranquil breather from the busy city life. The lake is one of the three crater lakes of an extinct volcano that encompasses three towns namely Sibulan, San Jose and Valencia. A protected area since November 2000, the lake and its surrounding forest is home to indigenous species of birds such as the Negros Bleeding Heart, Maroon-naped sunbird, Visayan Hornbill and Chestnut-crowned Tailorbird to name a few.
