Cagayan de Oro, Misamis OrientalFestival Date: January 08, 2024 Kuyamis Festival, Misamis Oriental’s grandest festival, is a weeklong celebration honoring ‘kuyamis,’ the province’s homegrown coconut species. Misamis Oriental’s name is believed to have been derived from this fruit, which is abundant in the area. This joyous event showcases local products in kuyamis-inspired booths of different municipalities and cities in the province.
