Cagayan de OroFestival Date: August 28, 2023 This weeklong festival honors Saint Augustine, the patron saint of Cagayan de Oro. ‘Higalaay’ means ‘to make friends,’ so aside from celebrating faith, the city opens its arms wide for everyone, thus encouraging the spirit of friendship among people.
