Admire the largest mosque in the Philippines—the Grand Mosque also known as the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Masjid partly funded by the Philippine Government and the Sultanate of Brunei to whom the Masjid was named (Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah). This beautiful mosque located at Tamontaka Bubong Road can accommodate around 1,200 worshippers at a single congregation and does not discriminate other religion as it is open to all, provided that visitors follow proper attire (men wear abayas, and women cover their head with a hijab). Visit the mosque at the break of dawn to watch the sunrise or at the late afternoon to view the sunset and notice the white stone walls of the mosque as it bathe in a rainbow of colors when the skies change hues.
