Calamba City, LagunaFestival Date: June 12, 2023 Buhayani Festival is Calamba’s way of commemorating the life of Philippine national hero Jose Rizal, who was born in the city. ‘Buhayani’ is derived from the Filipino words ‘buhay’ (life) and ‘bayani’ (hero). The festival includes different programs each year, which are based on the chosen theme. Buhayani activities may include a singing festival, spoken poetry, a tour of the Museo ni Jose Rizal, and many more.
