Dinagat IslandsFestival Date: October 02, 2024 First commemorated in 2008, the founding anniversary of the province of the Dinagat Islands honors yearly victories in social, cultural, and political areas. The thanksgiving event celebrated every October 2 is named after the word ‘bugkos,’ which means ‘to unite,’ ‘to gather,’ or ‘to bind.’ Bugkosan sa Isla, or ‘unity in the island,’ serves as the cultural marker for local sustainable development.
