Known as milkfish in English, the country’s favorite fish is best sourced from this Pangasinan city. Abundant fishing grounds and aquaculture have made Dagupan a powerhouse in the industry, annually yielding 2,440 metric tons of the fish. Various culinary preparations have been employed here to serve the delicious bangus, such as marinating, deboning, and others.
