Visit St. Isidore the Farmer Parish Church

Visit St. Isidore the Farmer Parish Church and learn more about its wonderful history. The church was established by Dominican priest Fr. Antonio Ruiz in 1755 and is dedicated to St. Isidore the Farmer, Madrid’s patron saint.
Following World War II, the administration of the church was given to the Columban Fathers, who inherited the structure in dire condition. In 1952, Fr. Joseph Gallagher assumed leadership of the church and dedicated efforts to restore it to the marvel that it is today.
This historical and religious structure showcases the resilience and commitment of leaders and the local community, from as far back as the 18th century, in preserving and revitalizing the sacred space. Today, visitors can come and hear the church’s stories first-hand.
