La Union, popularly known as ‘Elyu,’ is one of the hottest destinations in the country due to its surf spots and accessibility to Manila (its only three to four hours away by land). October is when people flock to this popular surf destination to experience the La Union Surfing Breaka three-day celebration of music and arts, which coincides with the official start of surf season in San Juan.
