Hike Up Mt. Magdiwata

Explore the protected area that surrounds the majestic Mount Magdiwata, a peak that towers over San Francisco and other adjoining municipalities at 558 meters above sea level. Its old-growth forest spans 1,658 hectares and encompasses seven major waterfalls. Finding sanctuary here are 113 fauna and 228 flora species, including the species of the biggest tree and most colorful tree in the country. The rainforest is also a watershed for the municipality, housing rare species of deer, monkeys, snakes, lizards, and more. Upon reaching its peak, one can relish in unhampered views of the Agusan River, part of the Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Caimpugan Peatland.
